Croissant French Toast

So I like a little syrup on the weekends sometimes to help get my mojo going. Here is a quick, yummy recipe for French Toast w/ leftover croissants.

Ingredients:

2 Cups- 2% Milk

1- Egg

2 teaspoons- Vanilla Extract

1/2 teaspoon- Nutmeg

1 Tablespoon- Cinnamon

1 1/2 Sticks- Melted Butter (1/2 stick for batter 1 whole stick for cooking)

1/4 Cup- Granulated Sugar

6 Large Store Bought Croissants, cut in half

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl or large, rectangular dish , whisk together all ingredients (with the exception of the croissants & 1 stick of melted butter).

  2. Cut Croissants in half (separate the top from the bottom).

  3. Heat a griddle to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

  4. Pour 1/2 stick of melted butter onto griddle.

  5. Lightly dredge croissant halves in the batter.

  6. Place cut side down onto griddle.

  7. Sear for two minutes, flip and sear for an additional two minutes.

  8. Heat whatever syrup you desire or fruit preserves. Top & Enjoy!!!
